Earlier this month, BridgeYear proudly unveiled a brand new look. This rebrand has been an opportunity to reflect on our values and determine what we want audiences to think and feel when they see BridgeYear. Having had the same logo since our founding in 2016, this was a particularly exciting project to create a look aligned with our mission, especially as our program adapts to COVID-19.

During logo design, our most important requirement was to symbolize “many pathways to success.” As an organization that focuses on pathways that provide economic stability and independence, we work to motivate and excite students to pursue careers that fit their interests, provide stable wages and offer opportunities for advancement.

The embedded “Y” within the “B” conveys this idea of multiple pathways by representing different directions youth can take to find postsecondary success. This mark also doubles as a tree to symbolize the stability — financial, economic and personal — that grows as youth progress in the pathways we highlight.

In addition to our icon, BridgeYear has also changed our colors to a more intentional palette. The teal brought over from our previous logo will continue to represent the Career Test Drive® Program. However, green will now represent BridgeYear Advising by symbolizing the approachability and support we work to establish with every youth who enrolls in our one-on-one, virtual service.

Our rebranding goal was not to just refresh our look, but to elevate our brand to meet the high caliber of our programming. When employers see us, they should see a formidable partner in career exposure and recruitment. When schools see us, they should see an innovative team that works with their best interests in mind. And when students see us, they should see a passionate organization that cares about their futures and will work tirelessly to help them achieve success.

Career Test Drive® Kits will be our first program to wear this new brand and we are excited for employers, schools and students to partake in this COVID-19 adapted program.
